site.btaTrade Union Calls for Postponement of Liberalization of Electricity Market for Household Consumers

The Podkrepa Labour Confederation on Wednesday urged for postponing the liberalization of the electricity prices for household consumers at least by a year.

The trade union cites high inflation, unclear price of energy due to geopolitical conflicts, household incomes relative to living expenses and projections about inflation and income growth

It also called for clear plans for the future of the Bulgarian energy sector approved by the social partners and scrapping the automatic adjustment of the price of electricity for inflation.
