site.bta2nd Zara Tech Spring Festival to Take Place April 13-21 in Stara Zagora

The second edition of the technology festival Zara Tech Spring will take place from April 13 to 21 in Stara Zagora, said the organizers from the Stara Zagora IT Association. This year the event will be in a new format and will once again bring together the local IT community and leading specialists from the technology industry.

The aim of the initiative is to bring together the local IT community by presenting important topics and leading trends in the sector in the current year. During the first two days, speakers will share their knowledge and experience and outline the current and future trends in some of the most current technological areas such as artificial intelligence, machine learning, cloud technologies, cyber security and others. Nearly 20 professionals from leading companies in Bulgaria are expected to take part.

On April 15, a SuperConference for Students will take place, with the aim to connect students with specialists from various fields and give them the opportunity to learn more about the opportunities in the professions in the field. The event will be interactive and encourage active participation of students, and each student will receive a certificate.

A Rails Girls Stara Zagora workshop will also take place. This is a global initiative that will help 30 ladies with no programming experience to get into technology with the help of experienced mentors. Applications are now open online.

The main partner of the Zara Tech Spring 2024 initiative is the hosting company SiteGround. Participation in all events is free. Partners are include the Zagore European digital innovation hub, the company IBM and IT companies from the city and the region. Participants have the opportunity to purchase a donation ticket with a charitable cause, and the proceeds will be donated to the organization of the annual hackathon for students in June, said the organizers.

Zara Tech Spring is the first large technology festival of its kind in Stara Zagora, according to the Stara Zagora IT Association. The association works for the development and consolidation of the local entrepreneurial, digital and IT ecosystem in Stara Zagora and the region by establishing an effective partnership and active interaction with all participants in the sector, as well as by organizing various initiatives in the field of IT, digital skills and entrepreneurship.
