site.btaSofia Hosts Annual Responsible Business Awards
The Annual Responsible Business Awards 2023 will be presented on Tuesday at 6 pm at the Balkan Hotel in Sofia, organizers from the Bulgarian Business Leaders Forum (BBLF) announced. BTA is a media partner of the event. The awards provide a prestigious platform for responsible companies and their successful and inspiring campaigns in support of people, society and nature, implemented over the past year.
The BBLF has been organizing the competition annually since 2003 to encourage good ESG practices and promote corporate programmes with the greatest impact. Companies from all sectors of Bulgarian economy participate in the competition, which provides a broad and representative picture of the private sector's engagement in addressing a range of societal challenges, the BBLF said.
A total of 126 corporate initiatives with a cause competed in the Responsible Business Awards 2023, and 82 companies entered the 21st edition of the national competition for corporate social responsibility, sustainability and diversity.
The competition once again honours effective and inspiring campaigns for the benefit of employees, society and nature implemented in 2023. The aim is to encourage best practices of engagement with public causes and promote corporate initiatives with the greatest impact. By participating in the competition, companies have the opportunity to share their successful ESG programmes, gain recognition from the expert jury, and establish their reputation as a desirable employer, the organizers point out.
The annual BFBL Responsible Business Awards will recognise companies' community commitments in seven categories - Investor in Community, Investor in Environment, Investor in Human Capital and Working Conditions, Investor in Knowledge, Cause-Related Marketing, Best Social Policy by a Small or Medium-Sized Enterprise, and Diversity at Work - a category introduced two years ago by the Bulgarian Diversity Charter to promote corporate inclusion programmes.
