Romania ranks second among Bulgaria's foreign trade partners, and Bulgaria ranks between fourth and fifth among Romania's foreign trade partners, said Bulgaria's Ambassador to Romania Radko Vlaykov at a meeting of Bulgarian businesses in Romania. It was held at the Bulgarian Embassy in Bucharest with the participation of members and partners of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

The event was also attended by Romanian Ambassador to Bulgaria, Brandusa Predescu. She visited for the first time the building of the Bulgarian Embassy in Bucharest.

For his part, the Chairman of the Board of the Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry Viktor Gugushev thanked both ambassadors for their support for the business community and for the activities it develops.

"The Chamber's next event will be on March 21 in Ruse, where one of our offices in Bulgaria is located. We will be together with our good friends from the Belgian-Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce in Bulgaria and Romania," he said.

On March 13 Victor Gugushev, CEO Eleonora Ivanova and Adrian Sipos - Business Development Manager met with Florin Spataru - Advisor to the Romanian Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu.

Topics of common interest were discussed, such as business support, interaction with institutions, and border crossing between the two countries. The categorical position expressed by the advisor to the Prime Minister of Romania is that the accession to Schengen is a priority for them. The same opinion was expressed by Victor Gugushev, who shared highlights of his talks with officials in Bulgaria.
