site.btaBulgaria Records Fifth Greatest Decline in Industrial Producer Prices in EU in January, M/M

Industrial producer prices continued to decline in the first month of the year, falling by 0.9% in the European Union. In Bulgaria, output prices per industrial producer fell by -1.8% compared to December, according to Eurostat data published on Tuesday. This country recorded the fifth most significant fall in output prices of the industrial sector among EU countries.

Compared to the same month last year, EU industrial producer prices fell by 8.4%. In Bulgaria they went down by 17.8%, continuing their downward trend of the last nine months. In the EU, only Ireland (-21.5%) recorded a more significant decline in January.
