Innovation and Growth Minister Milena Stoycheva Tuesday handed over two certificates for priority investment projects to Alcomet AD and Glass Contribution EAD. The total investment in the factories in Pleven and Shumen is nearly BGN 250 million and over 300 new jobs will be created, the Innovation and Growth Ministry said in a press release.

The investment of Alcomet AD, a company for aluminium rolling and pressing products, is BGN 136,285,000 and it is planned to create 160 new jobs. The investment project is related to the expansion of the existing production at the Shumen plant and the product range of new products to meet the current market demand.

Glas Contribution EAD will invest BGN 110,000,000 in the modernization of the production process of the Rubin glass factory in Pleven. 150 new jobs will be created.

Since June 6, 2023, the Innovation Ministry has issued 23 Investment Promotion Act certificates. The planned investments amount to nearly BGN 510 million, which will create 2022 new jobs in Sofia, Vidin, Burgas, Kardzhali, Omurtag, Stara Zagora, Svishtov, Ruse, Shumen, Plovdiv, and Pernik.
