site.btaInternational Monetary Fund Experts to Visit Bulgaria on March 6-19

An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will pay a visit to Bulgaria on March 6-19, the IMF's Office in this country said. The mission team will discuss economic developments and policies with the Bulgarian authorities. The IMF experts will confer with representatives of the Finance Ministry, the Bulgarian National Bank, other state institutions, representatives of the private sector, and NGOs.

The conclusions of the meetings will be shared at a press conference scheduled to take place at the Grand Hotel Sofia on March 19.

In early February, IMF Managing Director Kristalina Georgieva called on European governments to work on building buffers to meet challenges and warned them against giving in to the demands of protesting farmers as they could find themselves unable to do what is necessary for the strength of their economies.
