Agriculture and Food Minister Kiril Vatev will open on Friday the Bulgarian stand at the international exhibition for food industry, agriculture and horticulture Green Week Berlin 2024 in the German capital. The showroom is expected to be visited by German Federal Minister of Food and Agriculture Cem Özdemir, Berlin's Governing Mayor Kai Wegner, European Commissioner for Agriculture Janusz Wojciechowski and other official guests.

Bulgaria is presenting itself at the international event for the 33rd time with its own stand, where 11 Bulgarian producers will exhibit their goods - dairy and meat products, spices, wines, organic products, honey, vegetable oils and products with Bulgarian rose oil - on an area of 143 square metres.

On Thursday evening, Vatev attended the fair's opening event.

During his visit, the Bulgarian agriculture minister will participate in the conference of ministers of agriculture, organised by the German Ministry of Food and Agriculture as part of the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture (GFFA), which will take place on Saturday.

Berlin's Green Week 2024 focuses on sustainability, food security and the future of agribusiness. From January 19 to 28, 1,400 exhibitors from 60 countries will present modern agriculture and agri-food, culinary trends and sustainability issues to visitors.

The expo is expected to attract more than 300,000 visitors from over 60 countries.
