On Thursday, the fifth edition of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry's (FBCCI) "Innovation Awards" competition was officially launched. This took place at the residence of the French Ambassador in Bulgaria, Joel Meyer, in the presence of members of the chamber and media representatives.

The submission of applications will continue until March18, requiring the completion of a special form on the event's website https://www.ccifbinnovationawards.org/. The official awards ceremony for this year's winners will take place on April 4.

For the first time this year, individuals who have an innovative idea can compete alongside companies.

The entry categories are "Innovative Project and Idea", "Start-up" and "CSR Project". There will also be two special jury awards for a project and a business personality.

The jury in the "Innovative Project and Idea" category will be looking to reward companies or individuals for implementing innovative concepts in their projects, services, market and corporate development.

The award in the "Start-up" category will go to a start-up company distinguished by its inventiveness, originality, dynamism, growth prospects or ability to raise funding.

The CSR Project category will honour a company that has aligned its operations, practices, and development strategy with social, ethical, environmental norms, as well as relevant rights.

"I would like to congratulate the representatives of the Chamber for remaining at the centre of the dynamics in the relations between France and Bulgaria and at the centre of the economic situation in the country," Ambassador Meyer addressed the organisers.

"The world has changed and competition is intensifying," said FBCCI President Stephane Delahaye in his address. “In this context, innovation is the main vector for enterprise growth. It helps enterprises to differentiate themselves and gain market positions," he added.
