In October 2023, services output in the European Union (excluding public and financial services) declined by 0.6% and by 0.4% in the euro area on a monthly basis (compared with September), show the results of a survey, released on Tuesday by Eurostat, on the volume of services created in the EU countries for which data is available, and in particular for the countries of the monetary union.
In Bulgaria, according to preliminary data, in October 2023 the production of services grew by 0.2% compared to September, when its volume increased by 0.5% compared to August.
On an annual basis (compared to October 2022), the indicator grows by 1.2% in the EU and by 1.8% in the euro area.
For Bulgaria, the November unemployment rate is reported at 4.3%, after levels of 4.4% in October and 3.9% in November 2022.
Bulgaria recorded 130,000 unemployed in November, down from October's level of 132,000 but up from 119,000 recorded last November.
