The winter season officially started in the skiing resort of Borovets on Friday. The resort is ready for the season and its top priority is to prepare the slopes, said Maria Sheynova, Borovets Marketing Director.
The first to open to skiers is the Sitnyakovo skiing centre.
Sheynova said new and snow guns - stationary and mobile - have been added this year.
On Friday and Saturday, children up to 13 years of age get a daily pass for the ski lift at the price of BGN 1 as the cards purchased on the opening day will also be good for the next day.
Sheynova said that the increase in the price of ski pass prices this year is insignificant considering inflation in the country.
The Borovets sporting calendar has ski races in the second half of the winter season.
Sheynova said that they are also trying to have more entertainment for people who are not winter sports enthusiasts.
