In November 2023, the monthly inflation rate was 0.3% and the annual inflation rate in November 2023 compared to November 2022 was 5.4%, the National Statistical Institute reported on Friday.

Compared to December 2022, the November 2023 inflation rate was 4.4%,
and the annual average inflation rate for the December 2022 - November 2023 period compared to the December 2021 - November 2022 period was 10.5%.

November 2023 saw larger price increases of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (by 1.4%), recreation and culture (by 1.4%) and restaurants and hotels (by 0.7%). Prices decreased in clothing and footwear (by 0.9%), transport (by 0.6%) and furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house (by 0.2%).

In November 2023, the monthly inflation rate measured by the HICP Harmonized Index of Consumer Prices (HICP) was 0.2% and the annual inflation
rate in November 2023 compared to November 2022 was 5.5%.

The HICP inflation rate in November 2023 compared to December 2022 was 4.7%,
and the annual average inflation rate for the December 2022 - November 2023 period compared to the December 2021 - November 2022 period was 9.4%.

In terms of HICP, in November 2023, the prices of housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels increase by 1.2%, or recreation and culture by 0.8%, and of restaurants and hotels by 0.7%. By the same measure, clothing and footwear cheapened by 0.9%, food and non-alcoholic beverages by 0.1%, and furnishings, household equipment and routine maintenance of the house - a decrease of 0.1%.

In November 2023, the Price Index of a Small Basket registered an increase of 0.5% on a monthly basis and an increase of 4.4% since the beginning of the year.

Compared to October, n November 2023 the prices of goods and services in the small basket for the 20% of households with the lowest income increased by 0.8% for no-food products up 0.8%, 0.4% for food products, and 0.2% for services.
