Parliament adopted conclusively on Wednesday а ban on the supply and sale of flavoured heated tobacco products by amending the Tobacco, Tobacco and Related Products Act. The supply and sale of tobacco and tobacco-related products from vending machines and self-service stands is also banned, with the exception of duty-free outlets.

A general warning about the harms of smoking should be placed on all consumer packaging and on all outer packaging of cigarettes, roll-your-own tobacco, waterpipe tobacco and heated tobacco products where they fall within the category of smoking tobacco products. Where heated tobacco products fall within the category of smokeless tobacco products, the labelling requirements for smokeless tobacco products will apply.

Tobacco and related products that were manufactured or placed on the market before the entry into force of the revisions may be marketed and sold until the quantities are exhausted, but not later than two months after the promulgation of the amendments in the Official Gazette.
