There is consensus that Bulgaria's new energy strategy will be focused on a low-emission energy industry, said Energy Minister Rumen Radev Friday. He was among the speakers at a conference held in the Bulgarian parliament. The Minister said that he is skeptical about the ideas for full decarbonization.

"We are working very hard on the energy strategy," he said.

Radev spoke about the importance to have continuity in the energy policy because the horizons of planning, preparing projects, choosing the right solutions and implementing the projects are long.

The conference was organized by Tsvetelina Penkova MEP (Group of the Progressive Alliance of Socialists and Democrats in the European Parliament) with the participation of government officials, researchers and businesses. It sought to present Bulgarian innovations in the field of renewable energy, energy efficiency and sustainable practices.
