site.btaBulgarian Donors' Forum Presents Annual Corporate Donor Awards
The Bulgarian Donors' Forum Thursday presented the annual Corporate Donor Awards at a ceremony in the President's Office. It was the 18th edition of the campaign which honours companies for their transparent, efficient and sustainable charitable programmes and initiatives in support of causes that are significant for society.
In his remarks at the ceremony, the President's Chef de Cabinet, Galab Donev, spoke about the importance of teaching young people to give and be charitable. "I congratulate you on your decision to dedicate the Corporate Donor competition to philanthropy in support of innovative development solutions. [...] Philanthropists invest in people and thus model the future," he said.
Here are the winners of the Corporate Donor Prizes:
Mondelez Bulgaria for Biggest Non-Financial Donation (worth BGN 345,314);
Dundee Precious Metals Krumovgrad for Most Generous Donor (worth 5.73% of annual profit before tax);
SoftServe Bulgaria for Volunteer Work (with 3,288 hours of volunteer work);
Hewlett-Packard Global Delivery Bulgaria Centre for Best Donor Programme;
Experian Bulgaria for Best Volunteering Programme;
Vivacom Bulgaria for Most Successful Partnership (for its partnership with Association of Natural Sciences Olympiad Teams).
Lachezar Tsotsorkov received posthumously the award for significant contribution to charitable giving in Bulgaria.
