The Rosenets oil port terminal, which is now under the control of the state, is operating normally, BTA learned on Tuesday from Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeykov, who arrived in Burgas for the presentation of the national system for electronic information exchange among Bulgarian sea ports.

"Together with the Customs Agency, we monitor every single shipment that is processed at the terminal. At the moment, we are not encountering any problems. Since the state took control of the port, quite significant quantities of oil have been unloaded," Gvozdeykov said.

The procedure for transferring operational control of the Rosenets port terminal from LUKOIL Neftohim Burgas AD to the state began on August 21 this year, after the government unanimously adopted a decision to notify the company of the termination of the Rosenets concession contract.

The concession contract was terminated by an amendment adopted by the National Assembly to the transitional and concluding provisions of the law on control of the implementation of restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilizing the situation in Ukraine.
