Bulgaria will be a an honored country at the Philoxenia 2023 international tourism exhibition, the Tourism Ministry here reported on Thursday.

The successful positioning of Bulgaria as a tourist destination at the Thessaloniki International Fair 2023, where Bulgaria was again honored, contributed to this. The prestigious recognition by the organisers of the Thessaloniki Fair is the result of good joint cooperation. At last year's fair, Bulgaria's Ministry of Tourism received an award for a destination with the most representative stand.

The key event in the tourism sector will take place in Thessaloniki, Greece, from 10-12 November. Bulgaria's representative stand will cover an area of 100 sq. m and will be attended by Tsarevgrad Tarnovo EOOD, Sofia Municipality, OP Tourism, Varna Municipality and Bansko Municipality.

A joint action programme between the Ministry of Tourism of Bulgaria and the Ministry of Tourism of Greece for the period 2024-2026 is also to be signed.

Bulgaria will be presented as a safe and peaceful destination with a long tradition of quality and hospitality in tourism, combining beautiful and diverse nature, cultural heritage, quality mountain resorts, delicious food and excellent wines, the Ministry of Tourism wrote.
