Еnergy reforms must be fine-tuned, Energy Minister Rumen Radev said at the third edition of the Powers Summit in Sofia on Tuesday. In his words, an awareness campaign on the topic has to be conducted.

Radev said that the market reform should be refined and implemented in the first quarter of 2024. He said he believes that Bulgaria should liberalize its electricity market for household consumers but should also establish mechanisms for consumer protection and fully implement European regulations.

Energy experts who took part at the forum agreed that the electricity market should be liberalized, but sufficient mechanisms for consumer protection should be implemented as well.
