The Agriculture and Food Ministry will start a public awareness campaign on Tuesday to popularize organic farming and encourage more farmers to turn from conventional to organic agriculture. The "Go Organic!" campaign will be held in November and will involve events in 56 settlements, the ministry's press office said.

Farmers will be able to learn about the main rules of organic production and opportunities for funding under the Strategic Plan for the Development of Agriculture and Rural Areas in 2023-2027.

They will receive detailed information about the difference between conventional and organic farming, relevant legislation and obligations concerning crop growing and cattle breeding. Specialists will explain the need for certification and the advantages it brings when selling agricultural products. They will present good practices from other countries.

The initiative will be implemented in collaboration with the National Agricultural Advisory Service, the Directorate General for Agriculture and Regional Policy, and regional agriculture directorates.
