„Problems of forestry require expertise and professional assessment, which we achieve with the active support of the members of the academic community," said Stoyan Toshev, head of the Forestry Executive Agency, He was speaking at the opening of an international conference, entitled "Forests without Borders" on Thursday.

The international forum marks the 95th anniversary of the Forest Research Institute with the Bulgarian Academy of Scienced and brings together leading European forestry researchers. 

In the next three days forestry experts from Austria, Serbia, North Macedonia, Greece, Turkiye, Germany and Croatia will exchange experience and practices in the area of forest management.
