The Ministry of Tourism presented for the 19th consecutive time Bulgaria as a destination at the International French Travel Market Top Resa 2023 (IFTM) in Paris between October 3 and 5, the Ministry reported on Friday. Participation at the exhibition contributes to attracting new tourists, expanding contacts with French tourist organizations, tour operators and agencies, raising awareness of destination Bulgaria and promoting a positive image of the country as a safe and sustainable year-round destination offering various forms of tourism for a wide target group of tourists, the Ministry said.

Visitors showed great interest in cultural sightseeing, specifically in tours focused on sites under the auspices of UNESCO.

The Bulgarian booth was represented by companies and municipalities, including Bohemia, Balkania Tour, Varna Municipality, Enjoy Prime Tours Ltd, Bansko Municipality and Sofia Municipality's Operational Programme Tourism. Participants reported exceptional interest from French and other foreign industry representatives.

According to the Ministry of Tourism, French visitors are interested in urban, cultural, eco and rural tourism in Bulgaria. They prefer family and group holidays.
