Seasonally adjusted output in the construction sector fell by 0.6% in the EU and by 1% in the euro area in June compared to May, Eurostat reported on Friday. In Bulgaria, construction output decreased by 1.1% in June on a monthly basis and by 2.2% on an annual basis.
Among the EU Member States for which data are available, the largest monthly decreases in construction output were recorded in Germany (-2.8%), France (-2.5%), Hungary and Slovakia (-1.4% each). The largest growth was recorded in Romania (+3.6 per cent), Sweden (+3 per cent) and Czechia (+2.5 per cent).
