In June 2023, the seasonally adjusted volume of retail trade decreased by 0.3% in the euro area and by 0.2% in the EU, compared with May 2023, according to estimates from Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union.

In May 2023, the retail trade volume increased by 0.6% in the euro area and by 0.3% in the EU.

In June 2023 compared with June 2022, the calendar adjusted retail sales index decreased by 1.4% in the euro area and by 1.6% in the EU.

In Bulgaria the calendar and seasonally adjusted retail trade volume in June remained unchanged compared with May, when it was up by 1.7% month-on-month.

In June 2023 compared with June 2022 retail trade volume in Bulgaria grew by 2.4%.
