site.btaNavibulgar's New Bulk Carrier Named Slavyanka

A newly built bulk carrier for Navigation Maritime Bulgare (Navibulgar) has been named Slavyanka, the shipping company's press office said on Wednesday. A flag-raising ceremony was held earlier in the day on board the vessel in the Chinese shipyard where it was built.

The name was given by Katya Mutafova, who serves with Navibulgar's Chartering Department. It is the fourth ship of that name in Navibulgar's history.

Slavyanka is the eighth of a series of twelve 32,150-tonne bulk carriers contracted by the Bulgarian company. The captain will be Ivan Todorov, and the chief engineer, Georgi Kolev.
