site.btaEurostat: June Unemployment at 4% in Bulgaria, 5.9% in EU

Unemployment in Bulgaria grew slightly to 4% in June 2023 from 3.9% in May 2023, the Statistical Office of the European Commission (Eurostat) reported on Tuesday. Unemployment in the EU in June 2023 was 5.9%, remaining unchanged from May 2023. The rate in the euro area also remained unchanged, at 6.4%.

In June 2023, there were 129,000 jobless people in Bulgaria, 12,802,000 in the EU and 10,814,000 in the euro area.

According to AFP, unemployment in the euro area is at its lowest since such records began in April 1998.
