In July, August and September 2022, Bulgaria's economy emitted 14.994 million tonnes of greenhouse gases, the equivalent of carbon dioxide, according to Eurostat data. This is an increase from the same period in 2021, when the amount of greenhouse gases was 14.759 million tonnes.
