site.btaPM Glavchev Hopes Budget Will Be Adopted by Easter Recess

"I hope that by the next recess of Parliament, the budget will be adopted," Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev told journalists on Monday. Earlier in the day, Glavchev took part in a traditional Epiphany water blessing of the military colours, flags, and sacred flags of the Bulgarian army next to the Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Sofia.

Glavchev said that the caretaker cabinet has submitted a state budget bill for 2025. In his words, Parliament had three options – to vote through the budget, to revise it or reject it, but they took a Christmas recess. And he recalled that the government has also submitted special legislation to Parliament until the adoption of the budget for this year.
