Artists Lexi Fleurs and Lazar Vazduharev will present their multi-channel video installation titled Ballistic Threat at Sofia's Punta Gallery on July 11, the organizers said. The exhibition shows civilian life during war in Ukraine trough photos and videos made by the two young artists during their journey in a country that is almost a neighbour of Bulgaria.

As fighting rages on Ukraine's outlying parts, cities are shelled with ballistic missiles and the whole country is blacked out, life goes on, people go to work, to cafes, to the beach and to exhibitions, the team said.

Fleurs and Vazduharev aim to bring their audience "face-to-face" with the reality of war, to meet real people and hear their stories and feelings conveyed directly.

Sofia-based Lazar Vazduharev is a film director and editor. His most recent film Siyania premiered at the Sofia Film Festival (2024).

New York-based Lexi Fleurs based is an artist and Fulbright Grant recipient.
