Vincenzo Lamanna's "A domani" was published in Bulgarian

Italian photographer and traveller Vincenzo Lamanna has dedicated his book A domani to Bulgaria. It tells of his impressions of the city of Plovdiv (South Central Bulgaria), said the Iztok-Zapad Publishing House, which has published the book in Bulgarian.

Translator Sava Slavchev said that unlike most people, Lamanna uses the social networks to show the hidden reality, rather than to boast. He is not the first Italian from Puglia to have fallen in love with Plovdiv and Bulgaria, the translator said.

"He saw poverty, socialist-era blocks of flats, pain, corruption and violence against children. But he also saw generosity, dedication, empathy for the weaker, beautiful people with beautiful souls," Slavchev said. He added that Lamanna made a journey in the geographical sense of the word, but by visiting Bulgaria he also travelled to his own self.
