Bulgarian rhythmic gymnast and Olympic medalist Boryana Kaleyn supported the Be Brave, Be Good! campaign of the State Agency for Child Protection (SACP) combatting violence against and among children, said the Agency here on Saturday.

"Aggression, insults and bullying are not the way to success! Don't do it! Be kind and help each other!", the rhythmic gymnastics champion urged.

"Being part of a team is the best thing! There is always someone there to be your support and help you in the difficult moments, so be a team - the team of winners!", Kalein says in a video dedicated to the Be Brave, Be Good! campaign.

The Be Brave, Be Good! campaign is part of the action plan of the National Programme for the Prevention of Child Violence and Abuse (2023-2026). The main goal of the campaign is to change public attitudes and achieve zero tolerance to any kind of violence against and among children, the SACP said.

In 2024, the National Child Helpline 116 111, operated by the State Agency for Child Protection (SACP), received 28,307 calls. Nearly 12,000 consultations were held, including 6,248 with children. The data show that boys are reaching out to counsellors more frequently. There were 2,453 reports of children at risk.
