Outbound truck traffic is intense at the Kapitan Andreevo and Lessovo checkpoints on the border with Turkiye, the Border Police reported on Saturday morning. Traffic through the Malko Tarnovo checkpoint, also on the border with Turkiye, will be temporarily carried out along one route due to the reconstruction of the checkpoint.

Traffic is restricted to cars and vans with a weight of up to 3.5 tonnes at the Makaza, Zlatograd and Ivaylovgrad checkpoints on the border with Greece.

Due to the increased interest in the Rudozem - Xanthi route, also on the Greek border, the Border Police inform citizens that construction works are being carried out on the Greek side of the road. The Greek authorities have placed signs indicating that the area is a construction site.

As of 8 January this year, repair works have resumed on the Bulgarian section of Danube Bridge at Ruse, on the border with Romania, which is why a temporary traffic organisation has been introduced, with traffic being regulated in one lane.

Traffic is normal at all border crossing points on borders with Serbia and the Republic of North Macedonia, the Border Police said.
