Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mariya Gabriel Monday attended the opening of a Moroccan book corner at the St St Cyril and Methodius National Library on the occasion of the National Day of Morocco, Gabriel wrote on Facebook. She attended the event at the invitation of Moroccan Ambassador to Bulgaria Zakia El Midaoui.

In her post, Gabriel congratulates on the opening of the Moroccan book corner, where literary works in Arabic and French will be stored. The books have been donated by the national library in Rabat. "The book corner of Morocco is the 22nd at the National Library [in Sofia] and acquaints us with the history and culture of the country," the post reads.

Cultural diplomacy is a symbol of the present and the future, Gabriel writes. She thanks the two countries' national libraries for acquainting readers with the history, crafts, and literary richness of Morocco.
