A total of 29 employees are on long-term secondment to Bulgarian diplomatic and consular missions in Russia, Minister of Foreign Affairs Georg Georgiev says in a response to a question by Continue the Change - Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) MP Stela Nikolova. The reply is published on the website of the National Assembly.

The Bulgarian Embassy in Moscow has an ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary, seven diplomatic staff and 17 administrative and technical staff. The Consulate General in Saint Petersburg has a consul general, one diplomatic officer and two administrative and technical staff.

The Consulate General in Saint Petersburg issued 5,118 visas in 2024.

Russia has 22 diplomatic and 22 administrative and technical staff in Bulgaria, Georg Georgiev said earlier this month in response to a question again from Stela Nikolova.
