Deputy Prime Minister Atanas Zafirov commented on the Constitutional Court decision regarding the validity of the October 27 parliamentary elections, urging people to rely on the political forces’ common sense. On Saturday, the the Constitutional Court ruled that 16 MPs in the 51st National Assembly were unlawfully elected on October 27, 2024.

The Deputy Prime Minister expressed condolences regarding the tragedy in the Republic of North Macedonia and pointed out that the Bulgarian state has responded very adequately to the need for help. “Many of the victims are already being treated in our hospitals, I hope, successfully,” he said, adding that: "Prevention should always be the leading priority, we must ensure that our discos and entertainment venues are cleared of all kinds of narcotics and intoxicants and that children have fun in a safe environment," added Zafirov. He stated that Bulgaria should move towards a complete ban on vaping and the problem should be solved in general.
