The Constitutional Court has initiated a case to challenge the results of the elections to the 51st National Assembly, according to a statement on the institution's website.

The case was initiated at the request of 58 MPs from the 50th National Assembly. Judge Sonya Yankulova is the rapporteur of the case.

"It is a general and prevailing public opinion that the holding of the early elections for members of the 51st National Assembly were accompanied and filled with numerous and various violations, some of which also have the character of crimes," the argumentation to the Constitutional Court reads.

On November 8, the Court initiated a constitutional case on the request of 67 deputies of the 50th National Assembly to challenge the legality of the election of MPs in 52 polling stations in the elections to the National Assembly, which were held on October 27.
