Good mountain hiking conditions on Wednesday, sunny and calm weather, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA.

Resort facilities are currently not in operation, and there have been no tourist incidents, MRS said.

Temporary increases in cloud cover over the mountains from west to east, with rain expected in some areas, mainly in the massifs of Western Bulgaria, said the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology. A strong southwesterly wind is expected, shifting to the west in the afternoon. Temperature highs will be 17C at 1,200m and 11C at 2,000m.
