"I will insist that the state provide assistance for its own production and own brands, as it is extremely important in the regional industry", said BSP - United Left top-of-the-list candidate in Blagoevgrad Kiril Dobrev during a meeting in the village of Gorno Dryanovo on Wednesday.

Dobrev noted that the issue concerns the many sewing workshops in the Gotse Delchev Municipality, which are currently operating on a temporary basis. He added that this is also the problem in wood processing enterprises. "Instead of turning out boards, we should use them to make furniture and have a higher added value of production - and better pay for workers in the industry," Dobrev pointed out.

During the meeting, the issue of а common unemployment benefits scam was also raised. It is used by many people in the region, allowing them to claim the maximum unemployment benefit of BGN 2,300 per month in Bulgaria after working no more than seven days in an EU country for a salary of EUR 1,700-2,000.

The possibilities for assistance in case of unemployment were presented by the MP candidate Gergana Ormanlieva.
