site.btaBulgaria and Mexico Mark 85 Years of Diplomacy with Commemorative Stamp

A ceremony to validate a postage stamp commemorating 85 years of diplomatic relations between Bulgaria and Mexico took place on October 7, 2024, at the Palacio de Correos de México, the Bulgarian Embassy in Mexico shared on its Facebook page.

The event was organized by Dan Tartakovsky, Bulgarian honorary consul in Mexico, with support from B'nai B'rith Mexico, Mexican NGO Kadima, Palacio de Correos di México and the Bulgarian Embassy.

The embassy said that 200,000 copies of the commemorative stamp were printed. The stamp's illustration is taken from a painting that highlights the rights of people with disabilities.

It includes metal butterflies, coloured by children and adolescents with Down syndrome from Bulgaria and Mexico. This artwork reflects the dedication of both countries to uphold and advance human rights, the Bulgarian Embassy added.
