"Real working regions must be created, not only as a facade and on paper, but a real administration that will carry out the financial policy of the European Union through European and national funds", said Petko Petkov, Blue Bulgaria top-of-the-list candidate in Vratsa, on Wednesday.

He noted that if such an administration already existed in reality,  there would be more than just talk about repairs of critical infrastructure objects, such as the roads in the Vratsa region. Petkov has been the mayor of the village of Glozhene in Kozloduy Municipality since 2007. Because of this, he is convinced that the process of political decentralization in the regions must be completed. 

The programme of Blue Bulgaria includes a change in Bulgaria's tax policy, providing for up to 20% of the profit tax of companies operating in the Vratsa Region and 20% of the total income tax of the residents to remain in the region and be invested in infrastructure projects, added the press centre of the party.
