Velichie (Grandeur) Party ideologue Ivelin Mihaylov said in Kazanlak on Friday that the town earns a lot of money for the country by producing firearms, which will become an even more lucrative business in the next 30 years. "It should be ensured that the future of military materiel is always created in Kazanlak," Mihaylov told supporters. "There should be research and development centres here to upgrade the armament. The town should have a university and laboratories to test new armament."

Ha called for preserving the coal-fired power plants in Stara Zagora Region as they are important for Bulgaria's energy stability.

Velichie puts priority on Bulgaria's development in an all-around manner rather than piecemeal. Mihaylov said: "People everywhere say the same things. Business owners complain of being racketeered and having no choice but to move abroad. Ordinary people complain of a lack of quality healthcare and education, harassment by crime groups, and no future."

He accused the power-holders of trying to keep voter turnout low during the upcoming elections in order to give more weight to votes that have been bought. He hopes that Velichie will double its result of the previous parliamentary elections in June, when the fledgling party won 4.65% of the vote, enough to overstep the 4% Parliament entry threshold.
