site.btaArchives State Agency to Present Exhibition Dedicated to 100th Anniversary of St. Nedelya Bombing

On April 15, the Archives State Agency will host an exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the bombing on the St. Nedelya Cathedral, entitled "Fragments of an Afternoon", with original documents and photographs from the attack, the institution said.

The exhibition will be presented in the Archives State Agency on April 15, and also feature an outdoor exposition located on Sveta Nedelya Square from April 16, Archives State Agency Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mihail Gruev, told BTA. He took part in a scientific conference on the topic "Terrorism, Violence and the Battle Between the Two World Wars". Gruev explained that the exhibition will include documents from the Central State Archives, the Military History Archive in Veliko Tarnovo and seven other regional archives, some of which will be shown to the public for the first time.

The documentary exhibition covers the topics of the Third International and the idea of ​​world revolution, the September Uprising and its suppression, the preparation for the assassination attempt, the assassination attempt on King Boris III in the Arabakonak Pass, the assassination attempt on the St. Nedelya Church on April 16, 1925 and its victims.

Organised by the State Agency Archives, the exhibition is held in partnership with the Foundation for the Commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Attack on St. Nedelya Cathedral in Sofia, Bulgarian National Radio, Sofia Municipality, the Konrad Adenauer Foundation, the Communitas Foundation, and the Fulbright Commission.

The exhibition will be open to visitors until May 16.
