Mountain hiking conditions are poor, the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) of the Bulgarian Red Cross (BRC) told BTA on Tuesday.

The weather is cloudy and foggy, with rainfall, and in the higher parts there is snow and a moderate wind. Temperatures remain above 0C, between 3C and 5C.

Clouds will persist in the mountains, with light rain in many places, the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology said. A moderate to strong south-southwesterly wind will blow. Highs at 1,200 m around 9C, 2,000 m around 5C.
