The Central Election Commission has authorized the transportation of the voting machines to polling stations across the country from the warehouse where they are stored.

Earlier on Friday, the caretaker cabinet reported that all activities for the preparation of the elections were carried out in full transparency and in a timely manner.

On Sunday, Bulgaria will hold its sixth elections in the last three years, and the fifth early election after the regular parliamentary elections on April 4, 2021. There will be more than 1,500 candidates for deputies in Sunday's election compared with the April 2023 vote.

There are 418 candidates in the European Parliament elections, 131 women and 287 men. Compared to the 2019 elections, there are 100 more MEP candidates. Then there were 318 candidates.
