Parliament will hold an extraordinary sitting on Sunday, June 2, at 3 pm, Parliament said on its website.

On Friday, Continue the Change-Democratic Bulgaria (CC-DB) submitted a request for MPs' extraordinary sitting on two topics.

The first one is a hearing of caretaker Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dimitar Glavchev regarding public information about a letter sent to the Permanent Representative of Bulgaria in the UN for a change of Bulgaria's position on the occasion of the vote on the resolution establishing an International Day of Reflection and Commemoration of the Srebrenica Genocide in 1995.

"Bulgaria has an expressed position on Srebrenica and it is in favour. I will not comment on the criminal leakage of working documents in an unfinished phase of decision-making", Glavchev said earlier on Saturday.

Bulgaria voted in favour of the UN General Assembly resolution of May 23, which declared July 11 as International Day of Remembrance of the Srebrenica Genocide.

The published agenda of the extraordinary session also includes a discussion of a draft decision to oblige the Health Minister to take actions and measures to conclude a Collective Agreement in the health sector and to apply sanctions in case of non-payment of the wages of medical professionals provided for in the agreement.

The Constitution provides for the possibility of convening a session of Parliament at the request of one-fifth of the Members of Parliament. The Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly state that the Speaker is obliged to schedule a sitting no later than seven days after the request is received, regardless of whether the institution is in recess or not.
