Opportunities for enhancing bilateral relations between Bulgaria and Kosovo were the focus of a meeting between caretaker Prime Minister Dimitar Glavchev and Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti, the press office of the Council of Ministers said on Monday.

They expressed satisfaction with the active political ties between Bulgaria and Kosovo and confirmed their readiness to expand bilateral cooperation and partnership to strengthen security, stability and prosperity in the region. The two prime ministers agreed that steps were needed to deepen cooperation in all areas of mutual interest, highlighting the potential for building on relations in the areas of trade and economic ties, information and communication technologies.

In the course of the talks, Glavchev assured Kurti that Bulgaria continues to support Kosovo's European integration and Euro-Atlantic perspective, and the country's candidacy for membership in the Council of Europe.
