site.btaGERB Leader Briefs EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood, Enlargement on Current Political Situation in Bulgaria

GERB Leader Boyko Borissov Monday said that he had conferred with EU Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Oliver Varhelyi and briefed him on the current political situation in Bulgaria.

"I was pleased to receive the European Commissioner for Neighbourhood and Enlargement, Oliver Varhelyi, at the GERB headquarters. During the meeting, I briefed him on the current political situation in the country. We discussed our preparations for the upcoming European Parliament elections, which Bulgaria will hold together with the snap parliamentary elections," Borissov said on Facebook.

The meeting's agenda included the European perspective of the Western Balkan countries and support for Ukraine against Russia's military aggression, the GERB Leader added.

Earlier in the day, President Rumen Radev and Varhelyi discussed prospects for the EU enlargement process.
