The government adopted a decision to terminate Bulgaria’s participation in the EU military operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina (EUFOR AL THEA) with a company of up to 140 servicemen and up to 50 pieces of military equipment of the Bulgarian Armed Forces.

Bulgaria will continue its participation in the EU military operation in Bosnia and Herzegovina with a contingent of up to 20 servicemen to the operation headquarters and subordinate structures with a commitment to contribute up to 150 troops to the Operational Reserve Force (ORF) if necessary, performing tasks under the NATO-EU "Berlin Plus" agreement.
