The main places where we have a problem with fires are in Blagoevgrad region. The two aircraft from Sweden and one or two helicopters from the Ministry of Defence will be working there throughout the day. There is no danger to settlements and citizens, but the temperatures are very high and the terrain is difficult. In some places we are beginning to control the fronts where these three fires are developing - at the Bulgarian-Greek border, in the municipality of Strumyani and the village of Senokos. This was announced to the media by the caretaker Minister of Interior Kalin Stoyanov.

He assured that there is a lot of equipment, staff and volunteers at the scene of the fires to deal with the disaster.

Stoyanov also pointed out that on Thursday a fire occurred in the Haskovo region, which was supposedly caused as a result of military exercises, but the fire was localized.

There is a problem with a fire in the Montana region, around Varshets, the minister said, noting that the fire is severe, as is the terrain on which it is developing. Later on Friday, the fire was put out, BTA learned from the head of the regional Fire Safety and Civil Protection Directorate in Montana, Ventsislav Raykov.

Referring to the fire at a ware processing depot near Tsalapitsa, the minister confirmed that there is smoke plume, but there is a mobile air measuring station on site which shows that the figures are within normal limits.
