site.btaForeign Minister Glavchev Greets North Macedonia on Republic Day

Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dimitar Glavchev greeted the Republic of North Macedonia on Republic Аьщ, August 2, the Bulgarian Foreign Ministry said on Facebook.

Glavchev highlighted the shared past between the two countries and paid homage to the heroes who sacrificed their life for the sake of the future generations. Also he expressed a desire to uphold good-neighbourly relations with a clear understanding of the benefits of building a common future within the European Union (EU).

Glavchev confirmed Bulgaria’s readiness to continue to support North Macedonia’s efforts for the implementation of the criteria for EU membership.

Also, the caretaker Foreign Minister said that “with brave and decisive steps for implementation of the reached agreements, the Republic of North Macedonia can swiftly take its place within our European family”.
