The conditions for tourism in the mountains are bad during the weekend, warned the Mountain Rescue Service (MRS) on Saturday. The temperatures are negative, it is cloudy, and there is thick fog.

The wind is strong, it is raining and snowing. Almost everywhere there is already a snow cover of several centimeters, the MRS added. The paths are slippery and visibility is reduced.

The forecast of the National Institute of Meteorology and Hydrology (NIMH) is for cloudy weather over the mountains with precipitation mainly of snow, a strong north-northwesterly wind and possible blizzards. Highs at an altitude of 1,200 metres will be around -2C, -8C at 2,000 metres.
